The inaugural vintage of Kazumi Wines.
Tasting notes: Kazumi Sauvignon Blanc 2015 has a bright, yellow gold tint. At first impression, this wine showcases aromas of pear, apple, white peach and apricot jam with white floral notes of honeysuckle. Digging deeper, one discovers a mineral quality like the smell of the sea and a slight herbal, dry sage component which makes one think of the aromas of the Northern California coast line. On the palate, this wine fills out the mouth with a nice balance of acid and ripe fruit. The wine enters the palate with zesty, citrus lemon and a mineral, steely quality and rounds out the mid-palate with its smooth texture and body. The finish lingers with ripe fruit and the flavor of sweet orange marmalade.
